The Apollo fountain at Versailles…the poor horses are trying to pull the sun god’s chariot up out of the drink.
It’s February, which means release month for HAUNTED, Book 1 of the Arnaud Legacy. February 24 is the official release date, and soon thereafter I start visiting bookstores in Northern California and conferences, such as the Historical Novels Society conference June 26-28 in Denver. If you’re a reader who loves historical fiction, check out this conference: it’s for writers and readers alike. You can visit my Events page to see what’s planned.
It’s kind of cool timing–right around the time HAUNTED releases, I had to turn in the second book of the series…the adventures continue in BETRAYED. I believe I’ll have a book jacket image to share soon. Feb. 1 was my deadline to turn the book in to my editor. So last night right around 10 p.m., before midnight, I finally hit upload and said “Good luck, book!” In BETRAYED, action shifts to the French palace of Versailles. I’ve had a lot of fun mentally revisiting Paris and Versailles. Here’s a photo from one of my visits to the palace, showing golden horses pulling a half-submerged chariot up out of the water. Bonus rainbow!
