So happy we had a great event to send Betrayed out into the world! Despite the bronchial blahs haunting our part of the world, there was a great turnout.
One of the more special moments was meeting a character from my book, Raven Gellerman. I’d donated the right to a character name to a local auction and got to meet the real Raven at my launch. She and her family came out in full force and were absolutely lovely. One of the previous titles for Haunted had been 13 Raven Crest, so it was absolutely fitting that this individual has that name! And in case you’re curious, the character didn’t have a name before the auction. Miles was calling her “she” and “the girl.”
Raven’s grandmother Eileen made me this cool chapstick holder with “Arnaud Legacy Trilogy” and my initials LC in it. I was so impressed that she took the time to do this. So sweet! I’m already using it; thank you!
Because Betrayed is set in France, I brought French goodies to eat. I made a menu. I was hoping someone would indeed ask for a Sangrecu vial and I had a little something to give them, but no one did.
Here’s one of my favorite booksellers, Janis of Face in a Book. Thanks to her and Beenie and Tina for making this event possible. And most of all, thanks to friends and readers who came out to support. MUCH LOVE!!

Blurry pic of Historical Novels Society group (and Erika MacDonald left before we gathered for it, alas!). From left, Erin McCabe, Jennifer Laam, Kathy Boyd Fellure, Mark Wiederanders, me, Marcia Calvin, Gina Mulligan.
