Really excited to announce that Danielle Paige, the incredible author of Dorothy Must Die, has contributed a spectacular blurb for Haunted: the Arnaud Legacy: “If you like American Horror Story, you will love Haunted. Lynn Carthage delivers a spooky, fun trip across the pond. Loved!”
I don’t know Danielle personally, and I’m floored that she took the time to read my book in the midst of doing edits and prepress work for her own trilogy. The Wicked Will Rise, Book 2 in her series, releases in March 2015, the month after my book launches. I just went through the reading of page proofs for my book about a month ago–the very last chance to catch errors and make changes before the book goes to press–so I know given our close timelines, she’s doing that now. And yet she found time to support another author. Thank you, Danielle!
Blurbs are important. In my other, non-pseudonymous life, I know for a fact that a particular blurb was the difference between Barnes & Noble carrying my book, and not. I’ve also seen Amazon reviews that make it clear people picked up my book because that famous author gave it a plug.
I’ve previously announced that Michelle Gagnon contributed a quote for Haunted–she’s the author of Don’t Turn Around, Don’t Look Now and Don’t Let Go, a young adult thriller series I just love. Michelle’s amazing, a friend in real life from a writer’s group we both used to attend. I’m so proud my book gets to have both these writers’ names on it.
Haunted is available for preorder–see the options at right, or go straight to Kensington’s site here.
