I had a fun but nontraditional launch day for Betrayed on Tuesday. I was evaluated in the class I teach, so a lot of my mental focus was there instead of on my book. I had a celebratory sushi date the next day because of conflicting work schedules with my loved ones (I had a bento box with ebi roll and California roll… heaven). Today, two days post release, I brought donuts to my class. Nothing like spreading the fun over three days!
I’ll celebrate for real at my launch, noon on March 20 at Face in a Book. Isn’t that a great name for a bookstore? This is an indie bookstore that has been so successful that they knocked down the wall into the next store space and expanded. This, in an age when so many bookstores can’t stay afloat.
The timing is funny–just as Betrayed launches, I’m finishing up the manuscript for Avenged, the third book in the series. I’m steeping myself in ancient mythology and pagan belief systems, and writing in Eleanor’s point of view. I hope I’ll be able to share a book cover for Avenged soon. In the meantime, find me on Goodreads or Twitter. I’ll be interested to hear what you all have to say about Betrayed!
Almost forgot: there’s a Rafflecopter giveaway for a copy of Betrayed. Enter below, starting tomorrow and ending next week.
